CHA Summer and September Sneak Peek
August 1, 2009

IMPORTANT MESSAGE!

I'll be on vacation from August 2 to 24th!
I will not answer your messages during that period!

**************************************************

First, I want to show you a sneak peek of the September kit and basket. At your request for this month only, I have increased the number of baskets. So, I hope everyone will not miss it.

This kit and the basket are Vintage. I have putted a lot of embellishments of that style, as well as others that you can change according to your style or your inspiration. There are a lot of chipboard, stamps and beautiful ribbons. And almost all the papers are double sided. It took me a lot of time to prepare you that and I must say that I am very happy with the result. They are absolutely beautiful!

And ... I was inspired by us, women. By our love, our affection, our sweetness and our determination, our strength and our weakness, our talents and our creativity. In short, that is what is giving to the world so much hope and life.
And all that is for September ....

****************************************************

And now the CHA ...

And so I'm back from my 6th CHA. The summer CHA moved to Orlando. And it was the first time I went to Florida.
I promised my children not to visit Disneyland without them and I held my promise. But it was impossible to do not see the fireworks of Disneyland every night from my bedroom window. My room was on the 24th floor and I saw them very well ...

The "Convention Center" where was the CHA is enormous. Here you can see just one quarter. Unlike the Chicago shows that was the smallest CHA for the number of exhibitors that I had the opportunity to visit. Surely some reasons can explain that. And yes, that was pleasant to walk, to take his time to speak to the kiosks (especially as I could get and give my first article I wrote for a magazine and some of my creations, which I will speak later), to participate in make & takes and take pictures. But personally I missed the diversity and especially the absence of the collections that I always put in my kit and I've always adored ... Chatterbox, Heidi Swapper, Karen Russel, Li's Davis, Heidi Grace, K & Company KI Memories who were not unfortunately at the CHA for the reasons each one explain on their respective blog. Melissa Frances, which I was looking forward for her great winter and autumn collections, has not produced new collections this time. So you can imagine how I was disappointed...

Fortunately, my other favorite companies have created products that are pure wonders!

As you have probably noticed in my impressions after each CHA, each show is inspired by something (cupcakes, baby, robots, etc.). This time we were flooded with Halloween and Christmas collections. It was something to see ... Almost every company has released his Halloween collection and often even two Christmas collections. There was enough to lose my mind, especially that there were several breathtaking products!

Now, let me tell you about my great “Coups de Coeur” those you will find in my kits and my baskets soon ...
Note that it is only a personal opinion!

I must tell you immediately that there were a lot of interesting collections, but like I always repeat that I am not a store, I make creative kits and I can not buy everything. In addition, I found that several companies have repeated what I had already in my former October and February kit. So I did not want to repeat myself, especially when several of them are still available on my site and that I find beautiful.

I think I succeeded making Vintage and Shabby chic kits and baskets as much as possible. They are always very creative and very inspiring. There are a lot of embellishments of all kinds. I love that!
And of course, I have several ideas and techniques to show you in the "Step by Step” section.

The first booth I visited was the one of Basic Gray. It was to fall to the ground. This company always keeps my interest with one or two of their collections, but this time, I loved all four of their collections and you will find them in my kits. I felt like the fall collection was designed in Canada with his rich palette of colors similar to those you can found here in the fall. And I also had a Coup de Coeur for their Halloween collection. And for Christmas collection... And for the spring collection... In short, you will not miss these products in my kits and baskets.

Pink Paislee. Another company that was impressed me with their embellishments. They are unbelievably beautiful. I have ordered everything. I could not resist. And bordelines have been my biggest Coup de Coeur.

Webster's pages. All their collections have always been present in my kits or baskets. And this time again, they still offer wonderful embellishments which I hoped to see from a longtime ago in the scrapbooking world. That is WOW!

Graphic 45. I am in love with that company. You will see their booth on my photos ... it was even more incredible. I ordered my favorites in their three collections.

Jenni Bowlin. She is always in the Vintage and Shabby chic styles those she loves and her new embellishment collection is very inspiring.

Tattered Angels. You can imagine, I suppose: beautiful stamps, cards to use in different ways, the Glimmer Screen and the Glimmer mist as well ...

Hambly Screen. That is a great collection! Imagine the lace on a transparent of different colors and new incredible rub-ons. Beautiful!

Prima. And yes, once again new flowers (very-very shabby chic!) And new Christmas embellishments. Do you think I could resist!

Making Memories. I have seen small sneak peek of one of their three collections that they have presented. But when I saw it for real, I congratulated them, so I loved the idea and the design. This is also one of my Coup de Coeur of that show.

7Gypsies. You know that I am sold in advance to that company ... The only thing that I was disappointed that they do not have new albums or new ribbons like the ones I love so much. But I loved the collection in the Shabby style.

Maya Road. Their new albums are very creative, adorable mini-chipboard and new embellishments to enhance our pictures. Bravo!

Cosmo Cricket. For several months, I started to put their very Vintage papers and embellishments in my baskets. You will still find them in my kits and baskets. And the Christmas collection with the little snowman is absolutely adorable.

Sassafras. The company has introduced three new collections with embellishments that I love. In all cases, this is what we like the most, is not it!

Sei. When I started in the world of scrapbooking, I used a lot of their products. But I have never had the opportunity to put them in my kits because they were not appropriate for the styles of those kits. But this time, they have released a wonderful autumn collection and also beautiful embellishments.
There was also an excellent collection of velvet papers but I have not ordered them. That product was very beautiful.

Crate Paper presented three adorable collections. I always like the quality of their papers and of their chipboards embellishments.

Ranger has presented 17 (!) new colors of Distress Stickles and also a new transparent cracked paint which gives beautiful finish. That was one of my Coup de Coeur...
Tim Holtz have presented a new stamps that you can see on his Blog.
Again I stopped several times next to his booth to watch the techniques he showed. He really is a genius. And the most incredible is that he always invented new techniques using the same products: Distress Inc, etc. Dabber. There are enough to be inspiring...

American Craft, as usual, presented beautiful alphabets and Glitter papers of different colors.

There were also other companies that have beautiful collections those you will find in your favorite stores: My Mind's Eye, Fancy Pants, Bella Blv, Little Yellow Bicycle ... etc. There were also two Quebec companies "Kiki" and “Harmony" which I will follow their development closely.
I also liked the new products of "Crafty Secrets". But as I said before, I am not a shop and I can not buy everything ...

So, those are my impressions ...
Congratulations once again to all those companies that have made so many efforts once again to present us with wonderful collections that will enhance our precious memories. Thank you very much!

And now as always with the permission of the companies, I present to you the wonders made by the very talented members of their DTs. A BIG BRAVO!

P.S. Excuse me for the quality of photos. I thought it lacked lighting and I did not have time to adjust the camera for every shot.
